NEMB: A History of Continuous Improvement

New England Miniature Ball was founded in 1965. Then, as now, our mission was to supply our customers with high-quality precision and semi-precision miniature balls. During our more than 40 years in business, we have expanded our product offering to include ball sizes from .007” (.2 mm) to .160” (4 mm), in almost every material that can be machined.

Our commitment to quality begins well before final product inspection. In addition to employing SPC for consistency throughout all stages of manufacturing, our proven manufacturing process has been ISO certified since 1994 and has now achieved ISO 9001 certifications. Furthermore, NEMB's meticulous final inspection, during which balls are gauged, visually inspected and subjected to other quality tests, ensures that our finished products always meet the most demanding specifications.

Our high standards are also reflected in our customer service. NEMB maintains extensive inventories of standard and non-standard diameters, and we are extremely flexible in accommodating special orders, as well. We also welcome the opportunity to answer customer requests for additional services such as passivation and coating. In keeping with the global nature of most of today’s industries, we can now meet Just-In-Time inventory requirements for customers in the United States, Europe and the Far East.
